I think I have said this several times today: I feel like a scrambled egg. Sara and I vended at Porter Flea last weekend, spent all last week painting and prepping further for this past weekend's 3 day flea market at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, I had a root canal somewhere in there... exhaustion is not even enough of a word for how we feel.
Today was the first day in almost a week that I actually sat at my computer for more than 10 minutes, ate a complete meal sitting down, and did not have to really be anywhere specific at a specific time. Thrifting today was the pleasure of old, void of reminding myself to find the perfect items for our flea market events. I simply wandered, and it was lovely. My wandering first brought me to this adorable vintage metal canister set (for only $2.50!) I think I might be able to fit these into my own kitchen once we repaint which makes me so happy. They are just so bright and cheery.
Lately I have been very attracted to baby motifs like baby animals, pale pink, tiny flowers, and all things fuzzy. I seriously want to start a family in the next few years, so I guess I am going to start a little stockpile of items for our future kiddo. This precious lamb planter was only a buck so I could not resist.
Next up are some pretty salad plate, toy dinosaur, and a vintage framed needlepoint. I've always wanted to have a little wall space somewhere in my home dedicated to a needlepoint collection. I don't do the craft much myself, but I see them all the time in thrift shops. If you have any small ones, like under 4 inches square, let me know if you'd like to trade.
I spent a long time sifting through mugs today for some reason, and I am glad I did. On the bottom shelf, all the way in the back were these neat milky glass mugs with retro sports typography all over them. I've yet to research them to find out what their story is. I'm curious to see how many came in an original set, and what other sports were included.

I ended up at Goodwill and found a great vintage wooden silverware organizer that I'm going to spraypaint and upcycle into a jewelry holder :)
ReplyDeleteOn my last trip, I scored some great glass bottles, and actually made a DIY tutorial for decorating them!
